2020 was a challenging year, but we want to look back on it for the right reasons:
Starting at the top, we were proud to be placed 45th in Deloitte’s annual UK Technology Fast 50 list. Being recognised as one of the country’s fasting-growing tech companies is great and all, but, for us, the list means more. It’s the latest confirmation of the meaningful impact we’re having for customers – not just in the UK, but all over the world.
2021 promises to be another year of discovery, as we push hiring on to new frontiers. We’re thankful to Deloitte for putting the wind in our sails.
Joining the club
We love a club at Arctic Shores. Reading, running, yoga, Dungeons & Dragons… even in lockdown, we’ve found community.
But in November, the whole company joined a new one: SVC2UK’s Scale Up Club. With previous alumni like Skyscanner and Transferwise, it’s a big milestone for us. And now, we can’t wait to come together with this year’s cohort to discuss all things scale up, and learn a thing or ten. Every day’s a school day, as they say.
It takes two (million)
Those first two milestones speak to our strong growth recently (and long may that continue). But success for us is about more than the balance sheet numbers. It’s about giving real people a better hiring experience – and a fairer shot at fulfilling their potential.
That’s why we were overflowing with pride when we added our two-millionth candidate to our platform! What’s more, this came just ten months after we hit one million in January 2020. Doubling up in a lockdown is a big deal for us, and we couldn’t have done it without the continued faith of all our customers, or the hard work of our team.
Here’s to millions more.
At a lockdown-beating virtual ceremony at this year’s FIRM Awards, we were recognised for our work with AXA in the “Supplier Innovation of the Year” category. Our behaviour-based assessments helped them identify the key traits for success in their Personal Advisor and Claims Associate roles.
We were also Highly Commended in the “Recruitment Effectiveness” category. This came on the back of our partnership with the PwC UK team, who relied on our assessment in their early careers programmes.
But the wins didn’t stop there! We also picked up two Gold Awards at the HR Brilliance Awards – for “Brilliance in the Use of Technology”, and “Brilliance in Recruitment and Retention”.
Both of these came as the happy result of our work with Capita. We were pleased to help them assess over 12,000 candidates for their customer management roles – effectively, fairly and remotely.
